III here we go..
     February 28, 2006 // 8:10 PM

So it's finally March.

Or.. will be in about 4 hours. March means UC time. Well, technically, it's March 15th, to be exact. I'm not expecting, or going to check anything until then. If I'm really patient with myself and practice enough self-control, I won't check until I get something in the mail.

I've got my admittance into Cal Poly, but to be honest, I'm really not the ecstatic about it. Cal Poly is suppose to be my back up, and I suppose.. I did have some doubts in November about even getting in. But now that I have, I really don't feel so nervous anymore. My bet is 3/5. Berkeley is sure to reject me. As for Davis, I'm really settling myself for them. I'm pretty sure that in September, that's where I'll be. LA.. well it's a sure long shot and I'm not expecting anything. And SD.. well even if I did get in, I doubt I'd go. But who knows. I could be completely wrong. But my first instincts are usually right. I think I've known where I was going to end up since the year started. It's sad but true. It's probably the only reason why I'm not as nervous as others are.

In a way, I'm upset that I'm not even confident enough about UCLA to even have hope. I really worked for LA and feel that I've busted my butt off for it. But what can I do? What's done is done. Anywhere I go, I'll work just as hard, and just the same. As for environment.. I'd long for LA.. but you know, the place is polluted. hah. I'd love to go to a campus like their's, but hey, I've lived in Milpitas for 10 years.. I think I can take a bit more of middle-of-nowhere.

III I'm in love with February Break
     February 23, 2006 // 8:41 PM

As boring as it may be at times, I love having no school. Even if that means I have to stay at home, carless, and doing nothing but watching the Olympics. It's a beautiful thing, I tell you.

I had work today, it was just dandy, although a lot of kids were missing. I suppose they're all off making the most of the week off from school. Unlike me, who stays home no matter what. ah ha. Actually, I've had a decent break. I went out and played some tennis, watched some movies, had Interact happenings, and even had a picnic with my dear Kevin!

The Tour of California stopped by (well, not really stopped) but they biked past Milpitas a couple days ago. The race was right outside Kevin's house, which was perfect because we needed an Interact meeting. What better meeting place? Anyways, I think I got a bit too close to them and they yelled at me. hah.

Picnic with Kevin was fun. Of all people, my neighbor was at the park when we got there. Anyways, we had Quizno's (Mesquite Chicken of course), Batman Fruit snacks, chips, and other goodies. I even made a video with all the weird pictures we took. Of them, my favorite has to be the ones of my feet in the air. The thing at the top right is a branch btw. haha. We ate till we were full and about puke, of course. Haha.. It was a good thing it was sunny. We killed time, listening to his iPod and watching grass grow. :P

After that we just went to the bus stop, hoping we can hitch a ride over to his house, but ended up his mom was close by so she just got us. I really hate being carless. Anyways, we stayed at his house until Dallis picked us up to head over to Dan's. We watched Red Eye and Flightplan. Both were decent thrillers. I can't really say which one I like better even though they're both plane thrillers. Hah. We all pigged out on paper tasting popcorn and cereal. yum.

I really need to get my FAFSA done. As well as my math homework.. just so I won't feel so guilty about going to San Francisco tomorrow. Yay SF! Mmmm. I love going there. Chinatown here I come! I'm contemplating whether or not I should bring my heavy ass SLR or if I should just rely on Kevin's digicam. Shrug. I hope it's sunny there! But then the big coat I'll bring will be useless. hmm!

Anyways, I really need to go download some yummy songs.

lmao. China blocks Blogger so my sister can't read or blog. haha. Poor sissy. :[

III The best day of my entire teenage existence
     February 15, 2006 // 5:11 PM

.. And it happened to fall on Valentines Day!

I really can't get over how wonderful yesterday was. Although it felt like it as a whole week packed into one, and I was stressed out the whole time, I would never have traded it for anything.

The day before, I had been ticked off by a certain WAL-MART that had kept my pictures for 4 days, and had still not developed them. It ended up being a 5 day service for a 2 day price. I was angry, not only because I had left work quickly to go to pick them up, but because I also had a ton of things to do that night. When I got home, I had to do my Calc BC homework, and in addition, make 8 containers for Pump-Aid donation collecting. I also had to finish my present for my lovely Kevin. I surprisingly got to sleep by 2am. I was probably fortunate, as I would need some serious energy to get through the next day.

It started out with Kevin and I running to Wrencher's before the bell rang for first period. We attempted to drop off the Pump-Aid video to be run on the Trojan Lowdown, but it failed when he said that they could only play DVDs. We just HAD to get the DVD played that day. So I told Fran, and she lent me her car keys to get to Kevin's to burn the DVD in time for the annoucements. I told Castro, he understood and Kevin and I were off. We burnt the DVD in a mere 10 minutes, and got back quickly. And to cut it short, the SSR collection was successful as it ever could be. We raised over $500 in one day. That's almost 2 pumps, benefitting almost 1000 people. <3

Fran and I deposited the cash and then went to Albertson's to get a bear for Andy. Then it was time!

Jon, Dallis, Willis, Bjay and I took the light rail there and we ended up having to walk like 5 blocks in freezing weather to get there barely on time. Our seats were decent and the match was awesome. I think it was the closest match in first rounds @ the SAP that I've seen Andy play. The whole time, I was devising a plan to get down to Andy and give him the bear. I had sewn a tennis ball on his hand (when I was on the light rail might I add) and a card on his body. It looked just as I had imagined. Andy beat Garcia-Lopez 6-3/ 6-4 and I was off with Dallis to get down to Andy.

Surprisingly, my plan of attack worked and I got down to Andy. I had two choices: go to the crowded area where I knew Andy would go to, or go to a small area near it where just 2 people were standing. I chose the less crowded area and I won. I was the second person to get something signed. I said, "Andy! This is for you!" handing him the bear. He took it and laughed, saying "thanks!" He then took my shirt and signed it graciously. Oh how I was in heaven. As he exited the stadium, he held his bags like normal, and his towel on his shoulder. But in one of this hands, he held my bear. I thought afterwards, how was he to sign other autographs on the other side while hold my bear in his arm? But I was reassured that he did so when I saw on Yahoo the top of my dear bear's head. :]

He's looking down at short little me with the yellow jacket, believe it or not.

After the Andy experience, I could not have been happier. We left the stadium around 11 after James Blake lost his match. We ended up waiting at light rail stations in the freezing wind for soooo long trying to find a train back that could take us to Great Mall where we parked. After a bunch of complications, I finally arrived home around 12, with math and FHAO homework to do.

I didn't care. I was so happy! I didn't sleep until 2:30ish and was tired as hell today. That is all. I'll have more pictures some other time hopefully! :]

Thanks to Jon and Dallis for taking all the pictures :D

III i'll stop the world
     February 07, 2006 // 7:00 PM

Today I got home kind of early, and I actually felt normal again. I felt like I was back in middle school, coming home everyday, eating some junk food, and watching tv.

I popped open a bag of chips and took out the salsa and ate while watching an episode of Monk. Thanks to Jon, I actually have something good to watch when I'm bored. After that, I figured it was a nice day outside (as it will be for the next week or so *dances*) so I actually got off my butt and put on some running clothes. I ran around by block and around the Albertson's area and around my block again. I was proud of myself, I didn't really get tired much and I never stopped. yay!

If anyone is interested in doing the Interact v. Key Club Putt-Off @ Golfland, it's only $20 which includes breakfast, lunch, a t-shirt, and a game of mini-golf! All proceeds will be going to Pump Aid (for Interact) and eradication of measles (for Key Club). Go go go!! Teams of 3 :]

I need a to do a bunch of things this weekend:
+ Interact's Basketball Tournament (interested in signing up? comment/IM :])
+ International rehersal?
+ Interact Officer meeting
+ Go to Santa Cruz for photography
+ get prizes for Sunday
+ organize SSR Pump Aid donation day (Monday, so bring a couple bucks or some change to school on monday!!!)
+ get something ready for Vday :]
+ get excited and get something ready for Andy Roddick @ SAP Open on Tuesday!!!! kgjsdfhgkjs YAYAYAY!!!
+ develop film from camera

Oh Mr. Curious...

I don't know why I have that song in my head. -_-

I'm so ready to go to Michael's. I finally have coupons!! *jumps for joy*

I deposited my Chinese New Year money and my paycheck from last month. Such a happy thing.

III gotta love Kumon kids
     February 06, 2006 // 10:55 PM

I'm so darn tired. I went to sleep at about 3 am last night reading Fifth Business. I hated the book every moment probably up until the last part. I must say, that ending was pretty dang good. I would've never thought. It's like when I watch a movie. I always want something to happen, just to make the story complete and whole. And just so all the characters could get what they want, and know things they should know. But the movies never do what you want them to, do they? Hah.. this book did though. Man. I loved the ending, although it did creep me out a bit.

So I went to school on 4 hours of sleep, and went to work right after. Boy is it a task working with kids that think they can't see through their little schemes! A had a kid do her work in "5" minutes when I could've swon she was sitting there much longer. She then handed her work to Lam, who's right next to me, and who sits about 3 feet away from her, no lie. Lam grades the 3 pages, and the girl corrects them. She hands her corrected work to me, and all of sudden, there's only 2 pages. Now I have seen some cheating, lying, sly kids at Kumon since I've been there. Lying about their times, their work. UGH! KIDS! It ended up that the girl didn't have to do the last page of corrections. I could've sworn she took a trip to the trash can. And hey, if I'm mistaken, and she really did lose it in an exchange of 1 second, she really does still lie about her time. >O

Oh yeah, and one of my other kids, Serena, told me something really funny. She said I looked exhausted everytime I came to Kumon (which is entirely true because I usually get no sleep the night before). I told her I went to bed at 3 last night, but usually I get to bed around 12 or 1 because I had homework to do. After her shock, she suggested I sleep at 8, and get my homework done when I'm in the car on the way to school in the morning if I have to .... What a suggestion! haha. Kids, gosh I love them.

Interact meeting tomorrow! <3

III trip to the airport
     February 04, 2006 // 4:15 PM

I love going to the airport. There's so many people of different sizes, ethnicities, and ages. mmm! And to see them walk through the airport with their luggage, not minding anyone but their own families. it's so precious! And SFO is so big and clean. mmm! makes tammy happy =]

My sister left today for China again. She'll be back later in June. Looong time. hmm this past month that she has been home have gone by fast. pretty soon i'll be leaving for college. Gracious me.

Happy Chinese/ Vietnamese/ what ever you are New Year!! For once, this year was pretty fun. I spent the day at my aunt's house and played Mario Party and Texas Hold'em with the cousins. And I found out my cousin Helen was pregnant! Yay! New nephew! That was New Year's Eve. On New Years Day, we met up with my older cousins from my mom's side and got dessert and visited Helen's new apartment. It's cozy and small, I suppose it's perfect for her and Leo. It's nicely decorated, a bit dark, but something I'd like to come home to.

I won a Nikon N8008 on eBay. I won it for ~75 total. I used it at the airport today, hopefully the pictures come out. I think my worst fear when using a camera is not loading the film in properly. >.<

Oh and I saw this outside my window a couple days ago. Man, my sister and I had a good laugh about it. I'm assuming a birthday party was going on.

Anyways, I think that's enough to cure my boredom. Maybe I'll go drive somewhere. Someone go out with me :[
