HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANELLA UMALI ^_^ v
So this is the photo I got in my inbox today. Apparently all of Napster offices (San Jose, San Diego, LA, and New York) are celebrating their first ever employee appreciation week and they're giving us all kinds of goodies, mostly in the form of food. They like to make us fat. So, according to schedule, today we had pastries in the morning and once again, Mondo. I had my regular quesadilla. Tomorrow, I'll be ready and not prepare plans for lunch as I hope to be enjoying my yummy Jamba. What the heck is chotchky you ask? Apparently the correct spelling is something like tchotchky--basically a knickknack. Probably a stress ball or something, haha. Lmao at the ice cream and BEER social. Someone is bound to ask me if I want some and then be surprised after I say I'm no where near 21.
I finished It Started With a Kiss. I must say, it had its laggy parts, but it was definitely worthwhile and definitely should not be missed if you're on a drama spree like I am. It's one of the most recommended Taiwanese dramas. After watching it, I've fallen in love with Joe Cheng (Zhang Yuan Cheng). Seriously, if there ever were a Zhi Shu (his character from ISWAK), I'd marry him. Or at least try to. But alas, since there isn't, I'll settle with the real him. haha. Anyone who's watched Full House would appreciate this video I found of him. They ask him about Rain and what he admires about him. Then someone asks him to dance like Rain. He then does the 3 Bears Dance from Full House. Gosh I love him. Watching this drama made me really want a tall Chinese guy who wears his messenger bag well and is super smart. Please? Anyways, I can't describe to anyone how darling I thought ISWAK was. Ariel Lin is realllly cute too.
I know I sound crazy will all my Asian drama talk, but they seriously make me really happy watching. I like a good cry, and even better if I'm crying out of happiness. These sappy things really make me :). It turns me back into a hopeless romantic but still, I love seeing happy people in love. And what's also great is, it's helping me tons with my Mandarin. I'm understanding more and more, and it's really making me try to study Chinese asap. I actually brought my sister's Chinese textbook she used at UCSD (which is the same one Cal uses) to work today and started going through the textbook and practicing. If anyone wants to seriously be as lame (or as cool 8] ) as me, and watch..:
+ Meteor Garden 1 (classic happy/sad/funny - 4.5/5)
+ Meteor Garden 2 (don't watch unless you seriously love F4 and need more. if you have to, watch the first 2 episodes and the last 3 episodes - 2/5)
+ Mars (really different from all the other sappy dramas--def watch it if you don't want to see something sappy but something more serious - 4.3/5)
+ Full House (CLASSIC Korean drama--just do it. - 4/5)
+ Lovers in Paris (it was okay--maybe I couldn't stand it cause the main guy was fugly - 3/5)
+ Sang Doo, Let's Go to School (damn my heartbroke with this one - 4.5/5)
+ It Started With a Kiss 1 (let's just say I've watched the ending about 3 times; only because I thought it was laggy at some parts it's lower than what I could give it - 4.5/5)
Anyways, enough of that.
I went to Monterey yesterday. It was really nice there. I don't think anyone enjoys getting away to the coastline as much as I do just to walk and enjoy the seabreeze. I love looking at the ocean--when I'm driving to SD, I always wait to see the water. If I'm sleeping, I'll tell everyone to wake me when the ocean comes into view. Same with snow. But I don't know what'd I'd do if I couldn't get away once in a while and go down the little shops in Monterey and SF and get to dip my feet in the ice cold Northern California coast. We went to Carmel-by-the-Sea at first and enjoyed the nice view while cooking Korean beef on our little pathetic mini grill that took forever to cook. The water was freezing of course. We played frisbee and hit a couple of people, but it was definitely fun. After that, everyone was pretty tired from being out in the sun, but we went to Cannery Row to get crepes but were unsuccessful. We pigged out at Dippin' Dots instead and wasted more money getting churros that weren't as satisfying as we had hoped. After that, it was almost 7 and we headed home. I was pretty damn tired, but it was a quite a nice day to have before returning to work.
OH. AND IF YOU IGNORED EVERYTHING I JUST SAID ABOUT ISWAK, you AT LEAST have to watch this precious video. PLEASE??? :)
